Windows XP Service Pack 1 causes the program to lock up after opening any of the database tools. This is caused by a new "Security Enhancement" in the service pack 1 for Windows XP.

To fix the problem you should download and install the patch from the location below. Close all instances of BaseNow before running the patch.
