Hi,
I intend to export an entire SQL Server DB from one Server to another. I am not sure abt the best way to do the same, but I tried diong it using a DTS package. However the package failed to complete with the following error msg
"The login 'anderson' does not exist"
Can anyone help me out in identifying the prob & also ways to have it solved.

I think you should be able to transfer data and objects between the servers if you use the "Copy SQL Server Objects" Task in DTS.

Follow these steps:

Create a new package in DTS.

Right-click the background and select 'Add Task/Copy SQL Server Objects Task' from the menu.

A window will pop-up where you will be able to specify the correct Username and Password for both SQL Servers. If a server is running on LAN, you can select the "Use Windows Authentication" option.
