How to change columns in an existing table

Apart from creating new tables, the Table Designer tool can also change the structure of the existing tables. We have two tables - Mailing List and Remove List - in the database. Let us assume that we have thus far requested the user only to enter his/her name in one text box in the form on our web site. However, the form has been modified to require both the first and the last name, so that it is now necessary to change the structure of the table which contains the data entered through the form.
