Creating a Job

A job is a specified series of operations performed sequentially by BaseNow Agent. Jobs can be created to run tasks that are often repeated or schedulable, and they can automatically notify users of job status by generating alerts.

Create a job by scheduling a package

To create a job you can use the packages window to schedule a package. When you create a new schedule for a package the job is automatically added to BaseNow Agent. For more information about scheduling packages, see Schedule package.

Create a job using New Job dialog box

You can also create a new job by right-clicking the Jobs icon in Object Browser. If the Jobs icon is not visible, expand the BaseNow Agent folder. Choose the New Job from the shortcut menu.
